The story of.......

Baking was something that I always enjoyed doing, but never had the time to do. When my son was around 2 ½ we started baking cookies together frequently.  On those cold, rainy days it was something fun that we could do together while being cooped up in the house.  I told him we were going to come up with the best cookie recipe ever.  I’m not sure that he really cared as much about that as he did licking the spoon and getting the first taste out of the oven.  Then what started out as an idea for something to do for a day here and there quickly turned into something  that we decided we didn’t need to wait for a rainy day to do.  It was something that we loved to do together- mess and all.

However, while the cookies were good- at least by a 2 ½ year old standards, it wasn’t long before I began to experiment with different ingredients, measurements, and baking temperatures to find just the right combination. First and foremost it was important for me to use quality, natural ingredients.  By now I was on a mission to bake the best cookies possible. I wasn’t always satisfied with what I made and those would end up being put aside until one day a batch came out where  I finally got the result that I was looking for-they were just the right texture and taste.  I started baking them for family get-togethers and gatherings of friends. Everybody loved them.  I never had any intention of marketing them. I was just happy everyone loved them.  Then one day my husband told me I should consider selling them. I didn't think much of it at the time but there was something he said that stuck with me. I started to do some research on how to start a business, write a business plan, packaging options and buying cookies online and in retail stores to see how mine compared . . . until I thought it was time to take a chance.   So here we are today.

My son was the inspiration for the idea and my husband is the reason I am able to do what I am doing.  Without their support and encouragement none of this would be possible.  To this day both my son and husband are still very involved as taste testers!

Cheers!
